Product Introduction:

ChungHwa Telecom ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) Service requires installation of an ADSL modem onto existing telephone lines (called an ATU-R) to use ADSL technology, which is much faster than dial-up internet access and can be used concurrently with your voice telephone line. When going online, a separate telephone subscriber fee is not required. HiNet now offers two options for ADSL, Dynamic IP and Static IP.

Static IP ADSL Service:

The fee for Static IP ADSL service is fixed per month, and the subscriber is always online. There is no limit to how much time you spend online, no bandwidth limitations, and no additional software is required. You can use your given IP address to run a web server or any other services that require a static IP address, such as FTP, BBS, shell, or MX. The Static IP ADSL service is most suitable for corporations, those that are self-employed and rely on stable web technology, and those that use the internet heavily in daily practice. The Static IP ADSL Service is divided into IP Network Type and IP Host Type services. The IP Host Type is a limited version of the IP Network service, suitable for those running just a web server or those who do not need much flexibility in their network configuration. The IP Network Type service has a much more adaptable structure depending on you or your corporation’s needs, allowing you to adapt your network configuration to suit. HiNet 512 DSL, a form of Static IP ADSL service, offers great VOIP (Voice Over IP) and teleconferencing features as well as interactive online classrooms and fast upload and download speeds. This is one of the best investments for companies or home internet enterprises.

Dynamic IP ADSL Service

Customers connecting to HiNet Broadband ADSL Service using Dynamic IP Service accounts can only connect from the location of the family that applied for the ATU-R.

How to apply for HiNet ADSL Service:

(1)	If you are applying for yourself, you will need your ID and your signature seal. If you are applying for your company, you will need your corporation’s signature seal and corporate license. Product Introduction:

HiBuilding technology allows HiNet to partner with a HiBuilding community and provide a broadband network that is suitable for ordinary families to go online and does not require complicated installation of Ethernet or coaxial cables. Using existing indoor phone lines, HiBuilding creates a local ADSL network in a community (such as an apartment building or school dormitory) giving all community members the opportunity to easily access the internet at broadband speeds.

2.	Maximum throughput rate is dependent on your internet equipment and environment – not everyone will have the same bandwidth.
3.	Maximum throughput values are valid for internet backbone connection from HiBuilding to ChungHwa Telecom HiNet internet servers.
4.	This service is designed for community usage only. A minimum number of participants is required.
5.	Aside from the 500 NT setup fee (not charged 12/31/04), HiBuilding affiliated corporations may charge a fee of 2500 NT for internet equipment.

7.	ChungHwa Telecom HiBuilding will pre-evaluate a potential apartment complex or other building for participation in the HiBuilding service.

How to apply:
