Please Note
Recently there have been many incidents of people attempting to steal your password by pretending to be HiNet Support staff. HiNet will never ask you for your password. Please do not indiscriminately download and install free software which may be used to steal your account number and password.
 
If you suspect that your account has been hacked, or you have previously used a public terminal to access HiNet, or have downloaded suspicious free software, please change your password as soon as possible.

1. HiNet Content Point Consuming Card E-mail password should be changed using the above function.
2. Enter your User account (the characters before the @ symbol are your user account.)
If you have forgotten Email password, simply enter your user account password and you will be able to change your Email password.

HiNet customer passwords cannot be found online. If you have lost your password, please fax us the required information as below, and a system manager will help you change your password :

Effective date of new password:
If fax is received before 11 am on workdays, new password will be effective at 2 pm the same day. If received before 4 pm, new password will be effective at 6pm the same day .

careful usage of your account password
1. After applying for a HiNet account, please change your password the first time you sign on¡C
2. HiNet calculates usage fees based on your customer ID and password, so during the setup procedure, if you have a friend or a computer company set up your account, please change your password immediately.
3. To enhance password safety, please do not share your password with others and change it frequently with a regular period.
4. To avoid potential abuse of e-mail, HiNet will never ask you for your password through e-mail or ask you to change your password.
 
tips for changing your password
1. After you have changed your password to access HiNet, your email password may not have changed - they are independent (except EZHiNet customers.)
2. Please use your own HiNet access line to change your password, for security reasons .
3. Please try to use at least one numeric and multiple alpha characters to create your password.
