Q. ADSL Dynamic IP Type - EnterNet 300 connecting software setup and install.
A Windows 95/98/NT/2000 users will need to instal EnterNet 300 Software
  Notes:
  Before installing Enternet 300 please close all other Windows applications and disable your anti-virus software.¡C
Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME - instructions for different versions of Windows will only differ in steps 1¡B10 and 13; the other steps will be the same.
DUN version 1.2c or later is required if you wish to use Dial-on-Demand.
   
  Step 1¡G
 
Windows NT
Windows NT - before installing EnterNet 300¡Asign in as the Administrator and make sure that your network card and TCP/IP are installed correctly. Also make sure you have installed Service Pack 4 (SP4) or later. If you do not have Service Pack 4 or later, please go to the Microsoft Windows Update site to update your version of Windows NT.
 
Figure 1 - Assuming your network card and TCP/IP are installed correctly and you have Service Pack 4 or later installed, please insert the EnterNet 300 CD and select the Windows folder from the CD.
 
Windows 2000
Windows 2000 - before installing EnterNet 300 make sure your network card and TCP/IP are set up correctly.
Step 1¡G Assuming Windows 2000 with network card and TCP/IP setup correctly, insert the EnterNet 300 CD and select the Windows folder from the CD.
Step 2¡G Select the Windows140 folder and run the EnterNet 300 setup program¡C
Step 3¡G Choose ¡§Yes¡¨ (Y) to continue installation¡C
Step 4¡G After reading the service agreement, choose ¡§Agree¡¨ and then choose ¡§Next¡¨.
Step 5¡G Select your installation method: If you choose Quick install jump to step 12¡Aotherwise if you are performing the Step-By-Step Install, continue with these instructions. Choose next to continue.¡C
Step 6¡G Make sure that before continuing Enternet 300 installation, please close all other Windows applications that may be running. Choose ¡§Next¡¨ to continue installation.
Step 7¡G Select ¡§Yes¡¨ to continue.
Step 8¡G Select the location you wish to install the EnterNet 300 software by using ¡§Browse¡¨, or click ¡§Next¡¨ to use the default location of C:\Program Files\NTS\EnterNet 300.
Step 9¡G Select whether or not you wish to have the EnterNet 300 Icon installed on your desktop¡C
Step 10¡G If you are using Windows 2000, you will receive an extra prompt here. Choose ¡§Yes¡¨ (Y) to continue¡C
Step 11¡G If you wish to install Dial-on-Demand you must have DUN 1.2c or later installed. If not, continue to the next step.
Step 12¡G Click on (Finish) to complete EnterNet 300 setup. You will need to restart your computer before being able to connect to HiNet ADSL. If you are using Windows 2000, you do not need to restart your computer.
Step 13¡G After restarting your computer, you should see the EnterNet 300 Icon on your desktop. Run the program, and select ¡§Create New Profile¡¨ to continue connecting to HiNet ADSL.
Step 14¡G Enter the name of this profile, such as ¡§HiNet¡¨¡C
Step 15¡G If you have more than one network card, you will be given a choice of which network card to use. Select the network card to use with your ADSL service and click ¡§Next¡¨ to continue.
Step 16¡G Enter the user name and Password given to you by your ISP and click ¡§Next¡¨¡C
Step 17¡G Click ¡§Next¡¨ again to continue.
Step 18¡G You should see that your ISP has been detected and a connection has successfully been made. If not, check to see if your ATU-R (ADSL Modem) is functioning correctly and check to see if all your cables are connected properly. If everything is functional, click ¡§Next¡¨ to continue.
Step 19¡G Click on ¡§Finish¡¨¡C
Step 20¡G After the above steps with the EnterNet 300 software, you should see a small HiNet icon.
Step 21¡G After choosing the HiNet icon, you will be connected to HiNet ADSL service.
Step 22¡G After successfully connecting, you should see a small icon in the Windows taskbar¡C
Step 23¡G To receive more information about your connection, double click the small icon and click on ¡§Details¡¨¡C
Step 24¡G To disconnect from HiNet ADSL service, click on ¡§Disconnect¡¨¡C
