Q. What do I do if I・ve forgotten my account ID and password?
A:
Create a new account for connecting to HiNet. HiNet cannot access existing customer passwords for security reasons. If you have forgotten your password, please fax the following information to a HiNet system manager so that HiNet can assist you by creating a new user account.
Fax numbers: Northern Taiwan (Taipei area): (02) 2321-9854
Central Taiwan (Hsinchu to JiaYi): (04) 2226-2844
Southern Taiwan (South of JiaYi) (07) 344-1212
   
The following information is needed by HiNet to create a new account:
For individuals: A copy of applicant・s national ID card (back and front)
Customer number and ID number Daytime telephone contact number and name New password requested (6-8 alphanumeric characters, no special characters)
For corporate users: A copy of corporate operating license and chief executive・s name
A copy of applicant・s national ID card (back and front) Customer number and ID number Daytime telephone contact number and name New password requested (6-8 alphanumeric characters, no special characters)

If your request if faxed to HiNet before 11 am, a new account will be activated by 2 pm the same day. If your request is faxed to HiNet before 4 pm, a new account will be activated by 6 pm the same day.
