Using your mouse, double click
with the left mouse button on the
Outlook Express desktop shortcut. |

From the ¡§Tools¡¨ menu, choose
¡§Accounts¡¨ to set up your e-mail
account. |

From the ¡§Internet Accounts¡¨ window,
use your mouse to choose ¡§Add¡¨ in
the top right corner - then choose

This will open up an ¡§Internet
Connection Wizard¡¨ - For display
name, enter your Chinese name. Then
click ¡§Next¡¨ |

For ¡§Internet
E-mail Address¡¨, enter your e-mail
address. Choose ¡§Next¡¨. (For example,
enter abcd1234@ms28.hinet.net.
abcd1234 is your HiNet user name
and ms28.hinet.net is the name of
one of HiNet¡¦s email servers for
receiving and sending e-mail.) |

Choose ¡§POP3¡¨ for the first option.
For your ¡§Incoming Mail server¡¨
and ¡§Outgoing mail server¡¨ enter
your e-mail server information given
to you by HiNet. Click on ¡§Next¡¨.
(Note: ADSL customers using MSA
box should enter msa.hinet.net.
Dial-up customers should enter cm1.hinet.net.
Umail users should enter umail.hinet.net) |

For ¡§Account name¡¨ enter the
same address as in Step 5. For your
password, enter the password mailed
to you by HiNet. If this is your
own personal computer and no one
else will be using your computer,
you can choose to ¡§Remember password¡¨.
Click on ¡§Next¡¨ |

Outlook Express should tell you
that you have successfully added
an account. Click on ¡§Finish¡¨. |
